Roush Yates Engines Launches Partnership with NHRA Racer Justin Humphreys

Famed Roush Yates Engines to provide support and build engines for rising NHRA Pro Stock star

Mooresville, NC (Jan. 15, 2010) -- Roush Yates Engines continues their dedication to lead in power and performance in announcing a newly-formed partnership to build race engines for NHRA Pro Stock drag racer Justin Humphreys and RaceRedi Motorsports.

Roush Yates Engines, renowned for providing winning engines in the NASCAR circuit, is once again expanding their program to encompass another form of motorsports.  This partnership with Humphreys takes Roush Yates Engines into the powerful and competitive realm of NHRA Drag Racing. They already have a history of success in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, as well as ARCA, Grand-Am and FIA GT3 competition.

The Ford-based company is committed to success on the race track and feels this latest move is a testament to how far their program has progressed.  In 2009, Roush Yates engines powered more than 50 victories in a variety of asphalt, dirt and marine racing competition.

Roush Yates Engines has high expectations for this newly-formed partnership, and is proud to support Humphreys.  This groundbreaking venture is the first of its kind between a prominent NASCAR engine builder and an NHRA Pro Stock Team.

Justin Humphreys is the 2005 NHRA Sport Compact Racing Series Modified Champion.  He believes his involvement in a powerful engine program like Roush Yates is exactly what his career needs.  Humphreys drives for his family-owned RaceRedi Motorsports team based in Maryland.  He earned his first NHRA Pro-Stock victory in 2008, and is very excited about starting the 2010 season in a partnership with Roush Yates Engines.
