Duct Tape, Premium Military Grade Cloth (231), Polyken

Polyken 231 Military Grade Duct Tape is a high performance, waterproof packaging and sealing duct tape used for military and aerospace packaging and other demanding applications. It can also be used for media blast protection & surface masking and for other challenging repair, bundling and seaming applications (such as tarps). Polyken 231 Duct Tape benefits include: high tensile strength; extremely conformable; crisp, straight tear; moisture, solvent & abrasion resistant; high tack; and has aggressive adhesion to most surfaces. It has a stiffer adhesive than say a tape such as Nashua 357 so holds up better in extreme temperatures and bonds extremely well to flat surfaces such as glass. Its adhesive is not as ideally suited to irregular or uneven surfaces like Nashua 357 however. It is manufactured to conform to ASTM D -5486 Type IV Class 1 (supercedes PPP-T-60D & E Type IV, Class 1) and to DPM 871-3. Also please note that Polyken 231 comes to our converter in jumbo log roll format (that is why non-standard widths can be offered) and because of that rolls will ship on non-branded plain white cores. The shelf life on these rolls cut from source log roll material of 231 is one year from the manufacturer date. For the special-order 2" and 3" 231 which comes on a branded Polyken core the shelf life is three years from the manufacturer date. NSN 7510-00-074-4961. Made in the U.S.
