Details

A TIG rod can be used to weld steel, stainless steel, chromoly, aluminum, nickel alloys, magnesium, copper, brass, bronze, and even gold. TIG is a useful welding process for welding wagons, bike frames, lawn mowers, door handles, fenders, and more. With a TIG torch, you can put it to use on a number of tasks that range from difficult to impossible with a typical steel filler rod. TIG welding rods are excellent tools for the welding and metalworking industries. Use our TIG welding rods with all types of steel and chromyl tubing. Each of our rods have a smooth arc, thin and uniform coating and low spatter. Perfect electrode to use when the type of steel to be welded is unknown (works on most ferrous metals). Excellent all-position electrode for joining or overlaying all types of steels – high alloy steels, high carbon steel, manganese steel, tool steels, stainless steels and dissimilar steels. Very easy to use this electrode and maintain precise weld control even on thin sections and delicate parts where appearance is critical. Easy striking and restriking of arc, no spatter, practically self-peeling slag resulting in a beautiful weld bead. Weld deposits exhibit superior wear, impact, heat, and corrosion-resistant properties. Weld deposits cannot be flame cut but they are machinable. Commonly used on tool and die repairs, railroad iron, crane booms, construction equipment, spring steel, axles, machinery gears, build-up of shafts, overlaying or cushioning layers prior to hard-facing.
