MIG Welding Wire, 308LSI Stainless Steel

For welding low carbon grades of 19% chromium – 9% nickel austenitic stainless steels such as 304L, 308L as well as stabilized grades 321 and 347. Greater silicon level than 308L increases fluidity of the weld puddle allowing for higher welding speeds ensuring a better tie-in and smoother bead appearance. Low carbon content preserves the intergranular corrosion resistant properties of the weld deposit and weld zone. Common applications include stainless steel fabrication of dairy, food or restaurant equipment, chemical tanks and general purpose applications where corrosion conditions are only a moderate concern; Excellent for cryogenic applications.
