SCS Professional Series Quick Change Gears are aircraft-grade steel for maximum strength. Each gear has a shaved finish to minimize backlash and run out, and is broached for a 10-Spline shaft. A 5-step heat-treating process yields maximum gear life for high-stress applications. Gears have a black oxide finish, and lightened faces to reduce rotating weight without sacrificing strength.
