The Racetech RT4119W is the "Wide" version of the popular 119 series. It's engineered for drivers needing extra hip / torso width without compromising the performance characteristics of the 119 line.

Note: According to Racetech, the RT4119W (without head restraints) **is not FIA homologated**.

Key Features

  • Extra width in the shell to accommodate larger hip / torso dimensions without altering seat length
  • Back-mount capable design allows attachment to roll cage shoulder supports for better load distribution
  • Large harness slots ensure compatibility with modern wide-belt systems without interference
  • Removable base / back cushions allow drivers to fine-tune fit and comfort
  • Flush mounting bosses simplify hardware installation and alignment

Mounting & Installation

Mounting & installation recommendations:

  • Use certified side-mount brackets matching 295 mm spacing (e.g., Racetech RTB1009M or RTB2009S)
  • For back-mount, align to 250 mm shoulder spacing and bolt firmly to roll cage or cross-member
  • Torque seat mounting bolts to ~ 30 Nm / 22 ft-lb using zinc or high-strength hardware
  • Ensure harness belts route cleanly through slots without contact with shell edges or hardware
  • Check for clearance between seat shell and cage tubes, wiring, trim, etc., before final tightening
  • After initial use or break-in period, re-check and confirm torque of all mounting bolts

Usage & Certification Notes

While the RT4119W is based on Racetech's 119 series, the "W" variant **without head restraint** is explicitly listed by Racetech as **not FIA homologated**.

Because of this, it is unsuitable for classes or sanctioning bodies that require a valid FIA-approved seat. It is, however, well suited for track-day, autocross, club, or other non-FIA regulated motorsports where you want a wider fit without head wings.

Always verify your series or sanctioning body's rules before installation and use.
