Details

The Racetech RT4200HR (Non-FIA Decal) is the same high-performance seat engineering as the FIA-certified version, offered without the FIA hologram decal and thus with no certification expiration. Ideal for sportsman, drag, or club use where FIA compliance is not required, it retains all of the structural, ergonomic, and safety enhancements of the RT4200 series.

This non-FIA option allows you to avoid the 5-year certification limit while still obtaining the same shell, materials, and geometry.

Safety & Compliance

The non-FIA decal version of the RT4200HR is built to the same standards and structure as the FIA version, but omits the homologation marking. This allows racers in classes that don't require certified seats to benefit from the engineering without periodic recertification.

Note: although structurally identical, the seat in non-FIA configuration should not be used in sanctioning bodies or series that specifically require an active, valid FIA or SFI certification.

The design includes integrated head restraint wings and increased foam to improve head containment in lateral impact situations.

Mounting & Installation

Recommended mounting & installation guidelines:

  • Use certified side-mount brackets to match 295 mm spacing (e.g. Racetech RTB1009M or RTB2009S)
  • If using back-mount support, set mounting centres to 250 mm and secure to roll cage or back brace structure
  • Tighten mounting bolts to ~ 30 Nm (22 ft-lb) using zinc or high strength hardware
  • Ensure proper harness routing, avoiding rubbing edges or hardware interference
  • Check for clearances to cage, trim, wiring, and head restraint wings before final torque
  • Even though no FIA decal is used, regularly inspect mounting hardware and fasteners for security
